Tennis in Mont Tremblant this Summer
Mont Tremblant is a popular resort community that offers a variety of recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages. With a population of less than 10,000 people, Mont Tremblant is a charming and quaint village that attracts visitors who are looking for alternative vacations. Surrounded by mountains, forests, and multiple lakes, this small community offers the complete package of relaxation, exercise, dining, shopping, and sightseeing. Cottages, condos, and homes provide a unique lodging experience that’s more memorable than using chain hotels. One of the most popular activities in Mont Tremblant is tennis, and there are plenty of courts and programs to accommodate large groups of tourists.
The André Lemaire International Tennis Academy is not only the top tennis resort in Quebec, but one of the best in the world. In fact, this tennis venue has been acclaimed by reputable sources such as Tennis Resort On-Line and USA Today. This tennis academy has earned such a great reputation thanks to founder, André Lemaire. Lemaire brings several decades worth of experience as one of the best tennis trainers in Canada, and as a coach for former top 100 professional Sebastien Lareau. André Lemaire, along with a great staff, have built a fine tennis complex that welcomes locals and visitors alike.
The André Lemaire International Tennis Academy actually consists of two separate complexes. The Mont-Tremblant Beach and Tennis Club is located along Lake Tremblant, on chemin du Village road. The second complex is located at the La Belle Golf Course at Gray Rocks resort. It is also a waterfront complex, located on Lake Ouimet on Rue Labelle Road. The La Belle site is a recent addition to the academy, as it opened for the 2010 summer season. The two tennis centers are just over a mile away from each other. Combined together, these two tennis resorts offer a total of 25 courts, including 6 lighted courts that offer fun even after the sunset.
Tennis is a family friendly sport, and The André Lemaire International Tennis Academy offers plenty of fun and activities for all members of the family. The calendar is packed with events for players of all ages and levels. This Mont Tremblant tennis resort gives visitors the chance to improve and test their game. There are group clinics, private lessons, friendly round robins, and official competitions that take place between May and September.
For example, in mid May there are official junior tournaments for age groups of 14 and under. June and July host friendly competitions such as Veterans Friendship Cup and Parents & Children’s Tournament. In August, things become more serious with the Canadian Championship junior tournament.
Visitors looking for a more lighthearted tennis experience can take affordable clinics and play round robins. For example, an adult clinic that lasts two hours costs only $79. There are multiple Junior day camps for different age levels and abilities, which start at less than $100. A private lesson with Andre Lemaire would cost $142 including court fees. Those who prefer to play by themselves, can rent out a court for $32 per hour. To test your skills, you can sign up for the round robins, and see how your game matches up against other visitors and local members.
